1. Swastikas found inside New Jersey synagogue

Date: July 29, 2026 — Location: Lakewood, New Jersey

Someone broke into a synagogue on Spruce Street and spray-painted multiple swastikas throughout the building’s interior. Congregants discovered the vandalism around 5:38 a.m. when arriving for morning prayers. Lakewood police are treating it as a bias crime and are offering a reward for information; it’s the latest in a string of antisemitic incidents targeting the town’s Orthodox Jewish community.

2. Gunfire hits Jewish-owned armored vehicle company headquarters

Date: July 28, 2026 — Location: Toronto, Ontario

Shots were fired into the North York headquarters of INKAS, a Jewish-owned armored vehicle manufacturer, overnight. No one was hurt, but staff described being shaken and frightened. Police haven’t confirmed a link to two shootings at a Jewish-owned bakery chain days earlier, but are investigating amid a spike in apparent hate-motivated gun violence targeting Jewish businesses in the city.

3. Two locations of Jewish-owned bakery hit by gunfire

Date: July 26, 2026 — Location: Toronto, Ontario

Two locations of Kiva’s Bakery, a Jewish-owned chain, were damaged over the weekend, with one location struck by actual gunfire. Toronto police say the same SUV is linked to both incidents and are investigating them as suspected hate-motivated offences.

4. Jewish father told “Jews aren’t allowed here” in Montreal park

Date: July 26, 2026 — Location: Montreal, Quebec

A Jewish man visiting La Fontaine Park with family asked a woman to keep her dogs out of a children’s play area, per posted park rules. She responded with a profanity-laced antisemitic tirade, telling him “Jews aren’t allowed here,” which was captured on video and viewed hundreds of thousands of times. Montreal police have opened an investigation; no arrests have been made yet.

5. Concert by Franco-Israeli singer canceled after boycott pressure campaign

Date: July 26, 2026 — Location: Marseille, France

A free outdoor concert at Terrasses du Port featuring Franco-Israeli singer Amir was canceled “for security reasons” after the pro-Palestinian activist group Union Palestine Marseille led a public pressure and boycott campaign against his appearance. Organizers said the cancellation was meant to guarantee the safety of performers and attendees.

6. Haredi residents’ cars vandalized during Shabbat

Date: July 25, 2026 — Location: Prestwich, Greater Manchester, UK

Several vehicles belonging to Haredi Jewish residents on Leicester and Middleton streets had their windows smashed around 3 a.m. on a Saturday during Shabbat. It came just days after three Jewish residents in nearby Salford were shot with a BB gun (see below, #10). Police and the community security patrol Shomrim are investigating and have appealed for CCTV footage.

7. Synagogue’s wildfire-recovery mural defaced with swastikas

Date: July 24, 2026 — Location: Altadena/Pasadena, California

A mural at Pasadena Jewish Temple & Center — painted as a symbol of resilience after the synagogue’s building burned down in the 2025 Eaton Fire — was spray-painted with swastikas and the message “Zionism is not welcome.” The LA County Sheriff’s Department is investigating; a county supervisor has called for a $20,000 reward.

8. Jewish man stabbed outside Manhattan synagogue

Date: July 23, 2026 — Location: Manhattan (Upper West Side), New York

A man shouting “Allahu Akbar” stabbed a 57-year-old Asian man near Central Park West, then stabbed a 50-year-old Jewish man with a screwdriver as he left a synagogue on West 86th Street. Both victims survived. The suspect, Raul Morales, has been charged with hate crimes and attempted murder in connection with both attacks.

9. Six charged in foiled synagogue attack plot near Paris

Date: July 21, 2026 — Location: Sarcelles, France

French anti-terrorism prosecutors say eight men were arrested and six later charged over a suspected plot to attack a synagogue in the Paris suburb of Sarcelles. The investigation began July 12 when a suspicious stolen vehicle containing a Kalashnikov-type rifle and a loaded pistol was found near the synagogue, prompting the evacuation of roughly 300 people. Prosecutors have linked the plot to Islamist extremism.

10. Three Jewish residents shot with BB gun in Salford

Date: July 20, 2026 — Location: Salford, Greater Manchester, UK

Three Jewish people suffered minor injuries after being shot with a BB gun fired from a passing vehicle on Leicester Road in Salford’s Haredi community. Greater Manchester Police arrested two suspects on suspicion of religiously aggravated common assault following a CCTV investigation.

11. Jewish DJ driven off stage by antisemitic mob at French festival

Date: July 18, 2026 — Location: Grenoble, France

French Jewish DJ Barbara Butch had to be escorted off stage roughly 20 minutes into her set at the Cabaret Frappé festival after around 150 protesters entered the venue, hurled antisemitic abuse, and threw bottles and other objects at her, some of which shattered on her equipment. A local far-left party official led the protest.
