1. Feds open Title VI investigation into two California universities

Date: August 6, 2026 — Location: San Jose & San Francisco, California

The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights opened investigations into San Jose State University and San Francisco State University over allegations that both schools have allowed antisemitic harassment to fester on campus. Complaints describe Jewish students at SJSU being threatened and shunned in classrooms, while SFSU faces allegations of antisemitic graffiti, attempted break-ins targeting Jewish students, and a Palestine Liberation Organization-linked student group operating on campus. Both universities have disputed the characterization, saying they’ve taken action against antisemitism.

2. Airport brawl erupts after American tells Israeli traveler “Hitler was right”

Date: August 6, 2026 — Location: Manila, Philippines

An Israeli passenger and an American tourist came to blows in the domestic departure area of Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport after the American, 54-year-old Kent Scott Lee, allegedly called the Israeli man, 37-year-old Noam Shimon Rosenberg, a “baby killer” and said “too bad Hitler didn’t finish the job.” Video shows the two men grappling and trading blows until bystanders and airport staff separated them. Both were detained by police, who are investigating the confrontation as a criminal case.

3. Israeli mother and daughter savagely beaten in Thailand after saying where they were from

Date: August 4, 2026 — Location: Koh Phangan, Thailand

A 62-year-old Israeli woman and her 23-year-old daughter were seriously injured after a man carrying a French passport approached them near a waterfall, asked where they were from, and began criticizing Israel’s actions in Gaza when they answered. After the women said they didn’t want to discuss politics, the man attacked, biting the mother’s ear and beating both women; the mother required surgery after suffering head trauma and briefly losing consciousness. The suspect was arrested after a separate, unrelated altercation with police in another town.

4. Bogus WorldPride flyers dox Israeli soldiers, urge Amsterdam crowds to “report” them

Flyers bearing the logos of WorldPride and the City of Amsterdam were distributed around the city ahead of its Pride parade, mapping the names, photos, and performance locations of Jewish IDF soldiers under the banner “Protect your community, watch out for war criminals during WorldPride.” The flyers directed people to report the soldiers through RITA, a discrimination-reporting platform, and pointed to the Hind Rajab Foundation, a group known for pursuing legal action against Israelis abroad. RITA, WorldPride, and the city of Amsterdam all denied any involvement and said their names and logos had been misused; police are investigating.

5. IDF reservist attacked at Philippine café after saying he’s from Israel

A Spanish tourist approached an Israeli military reservist outside a café, asked where he was from, and began shouting “baby killer” and “genocide” while threatening to kill him once he learned the man was Israeli. 6. Colorado county commissioner draws fire for “devil horns” image of Jewish AG

Montrose County Commissioner Sean Pond posted an AI-generated image on Facebook depicting Democratic gubernatorial candidate and Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser — the son of a Holocaust survivor — with devil horns and a red glow, captioned “The Next Threat to Colorado.” The horned-Jew caricature is a centuries-old antisemitic trope, and the post drew a formal ethics objection from a local resident as well as broader condemnation. Pond told 9News journalist Kyle Clark, who broke the story, he didn’t know Weiser was Jewish and that the image carried no religious message.

7. Woman charged after attacking Jewish teen over kippah at Florida Target

Date: August 2, 2026 — Location: North Miami Beach, Florida

An 18-year-old wearing a kippah was sitting at a Starbucks inside a Target store when a 43-year-old woman approached, screamed antisemitic remarks, and struck him twice in the head with a cell phone before grabbing a metal chair and attempting to hit him again. Two bystanders intervened before the chair connected. The woman, identified as Chyvonne Juanita Palmer, was charged with aggravated battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

8. Neo-Nazis surround Bulgarian hotel housing Italian Jewish teens

Date: August 2, 2026 — Location: Bansko, Bulgaria

A group of black-clad neo-Nazis surrounded a hotel in the Bulgarian resort town of Bansko where dozens of Jewish teenagers from Rome and Milan were staying as part of a Bnei Akiva youth program, blocking the entrances, giving Nazi salutes, and chanting “Sieg Heil” while attempting to force their way inside. No one was injured, but the group and their counselors were trapped inside until police intervened. Italian and Bulgarian officials condemned the incident, and Bulgarian authorities have opened an investigation.

9. Saskatoon synagogue pelted with eggs during Shabbat service

Date: August 1, 2026 — Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Congregants at Congregation Agudas Israel heard strange noises during Saturday morning prayers and discovered a man throwing eggs at the building’s entrance, windows, and vehicles in the parking lot. Saskatoon police released surveillance images of the suspect and are investigating; the synagogue has since hired private security for services.

10. Montreal’s best-known kosher restaurant destroyed in suspected arson

Canada’s Public Safety Minister called it an apparent arson attack, part of a wave of antisemitic incidents in Canada that has nearly tripled year over year.

11. MLS investigates “death to Israel” chants directed at Israeli player

Date: August 1, 2026 — Location: Montreal, Quebec

CF Montréal fans allegedly shouted “free Palestine” and “death to Israel” at New England Revolution striker Dor Turgeman, who is Israeli, shortly before he scored a goal in a 2-2 draw. The Revolution reported the incident to MLS, which has opened an investigation; a CF Montréal fan group has denied that antisemitic chants were sung by its members.

12. Swastika sprayed on Maimonides statue in Spain’s historic Jewish Quarter

A swastika was spray-painted on the base of the bronze statue of Maimonides, the medieval Jewish philosopher and physician born in Córdoba, in the city’s old Jewish Quarter. Municipal workers covered the vandalism while a cleanup crew removed the paint, and Spanish police have opened an investigation. The Federation of Spanish Jewish Communities condemned the vandalism as an attack on a “Jewish, Sephardic, Córdoban, Spanish, universal figure.”

13. “Kill Jews” graffiti found at Swiss gym near Zurich

Date: July 30, 2026 — Location: Greifensee, Switzerland

Antisemitic graffiti reading “KILL JEWS” was discovered spray-painted at Fitnesspark Milandia in Greifensee, a town near Zurich. The incident was documented and submitted through the Combat Antisemitism Movement’s “Report It Now” app, which tracks real-time reports of antisemitic incidents worldwide.
